Asheville Cardiology Associates, PA, is one of the largest single specialty practice in Western North Carolina, is dedicated to compassionate, cost-effective cardiac care of the highest quality. Established in 1971, Asheville Cardiology Associates, PA serves the communities of Western North Carolina through its Asheville location and outpatient clinics. ACA cardiologists provide consultations, and echo interpretation services via electronic transmission, giving regional physicians timely and critical echo services. Other offices are in Hendersonville, Franklin, Sylva and Brevard.
The physician staff is comprised of Board certified cardiologists, with a support staff of over 200 highly skilled individuals. The 33 physicians, including 3 pediatric cardiologists, provides advanced cardiac care throughout the region. Asheville Cardiology Associates has 13 additional providers who assist our cardiologists to provide our patients with comprehensive and timely attention. The Asheville physicians serve cardiology needs for Mission Hospitals, rated 42nd in the top 50 heart hospitals in the country by US News and World Report. In addition. Money Magazine listed the hospital, and ACA physicians, in its Fall 2003 edition of America's top hospitals. In all locations, the physicians are on staff at local hospitals. They participate as board members of the American Society of Echocardiography, state and national American College of Cardiology committees, and hold leadership roles in the local hospital systems. Physicians continuously advance skills through educational courses, symposiums and research.
The practice relocated in May 2000 in order to better administer services to its patients. The state of the art facility has 50 exam rooms, a full service diagnostic testing site with three nuclear testing cameras, and the most technologically advanced digital echo equipment within the 78,000 square foot space. The location, at the intersection of 1-40 and Highway 25 South, allows convenient access from the entire region.
